What We Believe

Bible
We believe that all scripture of both the Old and New Testaments is the inspired Word of God. It is without error and the sole authority for life, faith and conduct.

God
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We Believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten and eternal Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as our substitute, was buried, rose from the grave in a bodily resurrection and, with His promise to return, ascended into heaven to be seated at the right hand of God.

Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit actively reveals Jesus Christ to unbelievers as their only hope of salvation. He lives in every believer, is Comforter, Friend and the Guide to all Truth.

Man
We believe man is the special and eternal creation that God made in His image. However, when the first man, Adam, voluntarily sinned, he incurred a punishment of physical and spiritual death for himself and all mankind. His sin, which separated him from God, became our sin; thus all have been separated from God by sin and are in need of salvation.

Salvation
We believe that salvation is a free gift received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ which restores a right relationship with our Creator.

Church
We believe that all who put their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into a singular united spiritual body recognized as the church. The local assembling of believers, with Jesus Christ as the head, is the visible, physical expression of the spiritual body.

Fruit of the Spirit
We believe fruit is the outward and visible evidence of a life changed through obedience to Christ and should be manifest in every believer.

Spiritual Gifts
We believe each spiritual gift described in scripture is valid, available and necessary for use in body ministry. We further acknowledge that love is the only authorized motivator by which these gifts are to be expressed.

Baptism with the Holy Spirit
We believe the primary purpose of the baptism with the Holy Spirit is to give the recipient power to witness by word and deed for the cause of Christ.

Church Ordinances
Baptism
We believe water baptism is immersion after salvation. It is an outward sign of an inward work and an act of obedience to the command of Christ.

Communion
We believe in the commemoration of the Lord's Supper by the symbolic use of the bread and juice of the vine.

Healing
We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides divine healing of the mind, body and spirit in answer to believing prayer.

Daily Living
We believe it is the will of God to live a lifestyle devoted to Him that is defined by action and demonstrated in deed.

Eternity
We believe scripture makes absolute statements about two very real dimensions in eternity known as Heaven and Hell. Everlasting life in Heaven awaits all who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Everlasting death, torment and separation in Hell await all who have not.

Last Things
We believe Jesus Christ will literally come for His church, physically establish His millennial reign on earth, decree a final judgment and rule forever in the new heavens and new earth.
